This month, Northpark is honored to partner with members of our family for a great project called HUNTER’S HELPING HANDS. This outreach opportunity has an extremely personal and special meaning for The Pietrowski family and their son, Hunter, so naturally, it does for us too.

A brief back story behind the foundation of HHH: When the Pietrowski’s took Hunter to the doctor a few years ago for a lingering headache, he ended up being admitted for a mass on his brain that was found and needed to be removed immediately.  This diagnosis and quick turnaround was completely unexpected, and the family didn’t have time to go home and get supplies. They had to stay in the hospital without personal items and toiletries.

HHH was born in an effort to prevent that from happening to any other family, and we want to support that initiative.  We would love to start by providing at least 10 gift bags of toiletries to the Duke Children’s Oncology Unit this December. But obviously – the more, the better!

The Northpark family will be collecting donations from the list below throughout the month of November on Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings. A container will be placed in the front lobby and any donations can be placed there.

The list of needs for each family is extensive ranging from supplies, to food, etc.  What we want to focus on first are the basic unisex toiletry necessities and a mini bible, including:
